                                              About The Chamber

                                              Picture
Started as a business association to promote the Crested Butte area over twenty five years ago, membership in the Chamber for the first several years was tied to the Business Occupancy License Tax, which assisted the Chamber in marketing the area, running Crested Butte Reservations, and overseeing operation of the Visitors Center. In 2003, following the creation of the Gunnison Crested Butte Tourism Association, which was tasked with marketing the area, the Chamber elected to move to voluntary membership, and moved towards more of a business serviced focused chamber.

Today, the Chamber has reinvigorated several of its events; given them a new business focus, is spearheading the Elk Avenue Revitalization Task Force, and is continually bringing on new member benefits.

The Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan promotes local collaboration between health-care stakeholders: Employers, providers and insurance companies. While many are looking at national health care, the Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan believes that health care can best be promoted and managed locally.
