Our Hiring Program

The Crested Butte | Mt. Crested Butte Chamber desires to support the local business community by facilitating connections between employers and employees or interns. These relationships will be fostered in conjunction with local partners, potential housing opportunities and added opportunities for employees available through the Chamber.

  • Western Colorado University - College Student and Alumni Connection

    Western has partnered with the Crested Butte/ Mt. Crested Butte Chamber to connect students with local businesses for part-time or full-time employment in addition to internships or micro-internships.


    • The School of Business is dedicated to supporting the local business community by pairing students with employment opportunities.
    • The Director of Career Services is available to consult one-on-one with businesses to pair a student for a employment.
    • The Chamber job board will be shared with the School of Business contact list gaining your listing further exposure and a direct connection.
    • Connect with all Western students seeking employment as part of a virtual job fair on March 30. Click here for more information or to register.
    • Is your employee a Western student seeking housing? The Chamber will facilitate a connection for potential on-campus housing.
    • All job board listings will also be shared with the alumni contact list, again furthering your listings reach.
  • Pathways-Local Highschool Student Connection

    Pathways connects highschool students from both Gunnison and Crested Butte to work-study opportunities. Work-study allows students to gain school credit for their work experience. Students need a minimum of 80 hours to earn one semester of elective credit. However, students can work well beyond 80 hours and continue accruing more credits. Work study opportunities should start the beginning of June and can vary in job requirements and skills required. 


    • All Chamber job board postings with be shared with Pathways students interested in work-study
  • Parker Dewey - Diversity Recruiting

    Over 80% of Career Launchers selected on Parker Dewey come from underrepresented populations. Improve diversity by providing equitable access. Micro-Internships help you identify and attract candidates with grit, determination, and the skills to thrive irrespective of their pedigree. Micro-Internships also offer a proven means for these students to gain hands-on professional experiences, connect with employers, and explore career paths.
