About Us
Mission
The Crested Butte | Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Centers provide communication, event, and advocacy services for our members, our community, and our visitors.
The Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce started as a business association to promote the Crested Butte area nearly 30 years ago.
We aim to be the voice of businesses in the community, advocating for the needs of businesses, large and small.
Visitor Centers
We partner with Gunnison County to operate two Visitor Centers, one in Crested Butte and one in Mt Crested Butte.
Speak with an Information Specialist seven days a week from 9am-5pm in the winter and summer seasons except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. Call 970.349.6438 or email cbinfo@cbchamber.com to learn more about the area.
Hours vary in the spring and fall. Be sure to stop by after you arrive in town for a local’s perspective on the best places to eat, stay, and play in town.
Board of Directors
The Crested Butte | Mt Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors oversees the organization, setting strategic direction, approving budgets, and overseeing operations to promote local business interests. The minimum 5-member board focuses on high-level strategy, legislative advocacy, fiduciary duty, and representing the chamber at events, while staff handle daily activities, implementing the board's vision.
Board meetings are open to the membership and held the third Tuesday of every month at 8 am in the Chamber conference room.
